Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

The Experience

We need support in the everyday maintenance of the House like house-sitting, cleaning-up the rooms, changing the sheets. On weekends it's more busy as hikers arrive and tourist groups arrive, and we need support more in the kitchen background, like cooking pancakes, preparing vegetables, do the washing up. We always work in team so our volunteer can choose the daily task that fits better for him / her.

My cousin and I spent a month working here and it was the most incredible experience. We loved immersing ourselves in the local communities and nature. This hostel is in the most beautiful location and is perfect if you want to have a break from the hustle and bustle of regular city life. Viktor and all the workers were incredibly inviting and kind, and we have made so many beautiful memories with them. The work was easy and flexible and fun as well. We will always remember our time here.

This was one of the best experiences of our travels so far. This was mine and my boyfriends first world packers experience and I hope everyone gets to experience something this genuine and wholesome. From the first day we were welcomed with open arms & a warm smile, we started off as strangers and will be leaving with life long friends. The job was so easy, mostly only working Friday Saturday and Sunday but we are in the quiet season. Jobs included everything listed. Thankyou viktor, Sàndor & team for being so loving and supportive. This truley is a magical place, we'll miss the dogs too x

This place became a home for us and we had one of the nicest experiences of our journey. Viktor and the staff working at Kohëgy will make you feel part of the crew! The 24/7 contact with nature will give you the chance to rest and reconnect with what is important (to you). Keep in mind that: -The meals are cooked by you, but the food is bought by the host. -You are 1:30 away from Budapest by public transport. -The host helps you to get to the train station during your free days and is always willing to help you with any issue you might have.
