The Experience

The main task of each volunteer is to have a great time in the city, interacting with guests and other volunteers. Taking them out, organizing activities and being themselves. Other than that it is, the shiftwork, making beds, doing some lightcleaning and tidying up of the place. We work very closely together as a team, helping each other out all the time regardless of who is on shift. The hostel is our home and we treat it that way! :)

Well the hostel became my home very far from home, i want to thank Alex, Bianka, Ana, Karim and Marton for making my stay so memorable, beautiful and fun. The hostel is very well located so everything is closed, and commuting was so easy !! The tasks were very simple and were just as they described it on the website. During my shifts i could meet new people and that was so much fun, because every new guest was like a friend, or someone we could have and adventure with. Definitely this experience will be in my heart for a long time. Budapest has a beautiful energy, and i recommend it to u!

Diego was a dream volunteer. He was always cooperative, never complained and did everything he was asked to do and even more. He is easy to get along with since he has an easy-going personality while also being responsible. He showcased his great cooking skills as he regularly cooked for the hostel's staff, and he was always very nice and commincative, not only with the staff but with the guests, as well. Overall a great addition to any team.

This hostel is amazing! Vesna is a great boss, and the shifts are simple - 3 shifts a week, a combination of overnight reception shifts or daytime housekeeping shifts. You get plenty of time off to enjoy the city, and there are usually activities with the other volunteers/guests like family meals or watching movies. I'm glad I came here, the hostel has a true family feel!
