The Experience

We are searching for people with an eager willingness to learn and serve as a team player who has a positive/flexible attitude. Tasks range from cooking breakfasts-in-bed, flipping rooms, cleaning vehicles/homes, personal assistant, administration, random indoor/outdoor projects, guest interaction and perhaps helping in the gardens! No two days are ever the same. The only constant is our love of hospitality and providing great service to guests!

My time at the hotel has been one to remember. There were many challenges I faced with the new management but it was an opportunity to work on personal growth, communication skills, and patience. I am grateful for everything I have learned and I am very sad to say goodbye to all the friends I made.

We appreciate you, Ava! What a delight to have you extend your stay at Talus Rock Retreat so we could be blessed by your joyful presence for even longer. We'll miss you, as will the chickens and ducks! We are eclectic in all things (design, daily tasks, personalities, ...) and you fit in so well. Going with the flow is definitely necessary in the hospitality field, and you were a champ! Getting out to explore Sandpoint is a part of the fun so we are so glad you ventured out to explore our community too.

Such an amazing opportunity working at TRR. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming and were constantly making sure that I had everything I needed to ensure a good stay. The work load was not difficult just routine house keeping and the hours were reasonable. Sandpoint is a nice small town that's easy to get around and explore even without a car. I had an amazing time here meeting everyone and connecting with such a nice team of people!

I have had an absolutely amazing experience here at TRR. From day one, I felt immediately welcome and respected. Heather, Chad, Jill, Suzanne, Terry and Jay are extremely wonderful individuals. They are all very helpful, kind and caring. This was my first WP experience and I don't think I could have chosen a better place to start. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The scenery is fantastic and the cabin I stayed in was very comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking about staying here to take advantage of the many opportunities TRR provides. I loved every moment here.

As a first experience with Worldpackers I would say just amazing, nice people always there to help you and you are treated like royalty. Simple and varied light work. I recommend to anyone who wants to learn English in a beautiful part of the USA.

Andrea is an exceptional volunteer with a love of the outdoors and adventure! He has a great work ethic and a willing spirit. Intuitive, attentive, positive, and quality is driven are all character traits Andrea brings to the experience. He is a fun and engaging team member who is great at working independently as well. He plowed right through any project we presented to him. We'd hire him in a heartbeat if that was a possibility. He's really good. You'll see!
